Despite a few minor issues, our stay at Forbes Hotel was enjoyable. The room was clean and comfortable, and the amenities in the bathroom were surprisingly decent. The staff, though limited in English, were very friendly and accommodating. We were also pleased to find a fridge in the room and a filtered water machine with both hot and regular water. I would recommend this hotel for its friendly staff and decent amenities.

Spent Xmas in this hotel and had a great time. The toiletries offered in the room were plentiful and saved me from having to pack a lot of things. The location was perfect, near shopping and dining areas, making it easy to get around. The downstairs traditional Taiwanese restaurant was a great spot to try the local food and enjoy a cozy atmosphere.
The room was old and had some wear and tear. There were marks on the bathtub and the toilet needed a good cleaning.
